Terms And Conditions
These terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between Unique French Travel (referred to as “the Operator”) and the customer (referred to as “the Client”). By booking any tours or services provided by the Operator through this website, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Booking and Payment
- Reservation: All bookings must be made through the Operator’s website or via a direct communication channel. The booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a booking confirmation email from the Operator.
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total booking price is required at the time of reservation to secure the booking.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days prior to the departure date. If full payment is not received by the due date, the Operator reserves the right to cancel the booking.
- Late Bookings: For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Prices and Surcharges
- Price: All prices are quoted in Euro or USD and are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Price Changes: The Operator reserves the right to adjust prices in the event of changes in transportation costs, taxes, or currency fluctuations. Any price adjustments will be communicated to the Client as soon as possible.
Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellation by the Client:
- More than 60 days before departure: A non-refundable deposit of 30% will be retained.
- to 30 days before departure: 60% of the total tour price will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- Less than 30 days before departure: No refund will be provided.
- Cancellation by the Operator: The Operator reserves the right to cancel a tour in cases of force majeure, insufficient bookings, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the Client will receive a full refund of all payments made to the Operator.
- Force Majeure: No refund will be provided for cancellations due to events beyond the Operator’s control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, pandemics).
Alterations by the Client
- The Client may request changes to their booking (e.g., change of date, itinerary adjustments), subject to availability and Operator approval. Any additional costs arising from these changes will be borne by the Client.
- Requests for significant alterations must be made at least 20 days before departure.
Alterations by the Operator
- The Operator reserves the right to make minor alterations to the tour itinerary due to operational reasons or in the interest of the Client’s safety.
- In case of significant changes (e.g., change in accommodation or tour route), the Client will be informed as soon as possible, and alternative arrangements of equal or greater value will be provided.
Insurance
- The Client is required to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, personal liability, and cancellation or curtailment. The Operator does not provide insurance coverage for Clients.
Liability
- The Operator is not responsible for any injuries, damages, losses, or delays incurred during the tour, except where such liability is due to the Operator’s negligence or breach of contract.
- The Operator acts solely as an intermediary for transportation, accommodations, and other services and cannot be held responsible for the actions or omissions of third-party providers.
- The Client is responsible for ensuring they meet all passport, visa, and health requirements necessary for travel to France and any other countries included in the itinerary.
Client Responsibilities
- Behavior: The Client is expected to behave respectfully and follow all local laws and customs during the tour. The Operator reserves the right to terminate a Client’s participation in the tour if their behavior is disruptive or dangerous to themselves or others.
- Health & Fitness: The Client is responsible for ensuring they are in inadequate health to participate in the tour. Any medical conditions that may affect participation must be communicated to the Operator at the time of booking.
- Travel Documents: The Client is responsible for ensuring that all necessary travel documents (e.g., passport, visa, permits) are in order before the tour.
Complaints
- Any complaints related to the tour must be raised promptly to the Operator or the tour guide on the ground, allowing the Operator the opportunity to resolve the issue.
- If the issue is not resolved during the tour, the Client may submit a written complaint within 7 days of the tour’s completion.
Photography and Media
- The Operator may take photos or videos during the tour for promotional purposes. By participating in the tour, the Client consents to the use of their image unless they notify the Operator in writing prior to the tour.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
